I have never been a fan of stock taking from previous customer service jobs, but doing a stock take with trimmings I surprisingly enjoyed. Overall there were 119 different types of trimmings located in the office. For this I decided to draw my own table in the image above. Having columns for the samples, quantities, referencing and colours. Not all samples had references or colour codes which was ok, they could be found in other files at later dates. When no colour codes where available I just left it blank, as the small samples enable you to see the colours perfectly.
At first I was just going to describe what the samples looked like, but thought it would be ideal to take a small sample stapled onto the sheets. This way you can see exactly what trimming you are looking for, and feel the textures for matching with fabrics.
