Industry pattern cutters

I was told last week that today I would be invited to visit a professional pattern cutting studio, which I had to try and hold my excitement for awhile. Arriving today was better than I expected, not only do they do pattern cutting and grading on site, which I desire to learn more about. The company also, make the toils, samples and final garments there, having a room of machines, much like a sweatshop set up but excellent conditions and relaxed were evident.
Once we had been shown around we sat down with the owner and discussed what Lalage wanted, and any question she or myself had.
Due to the influx of made to measure at the boutique, it was essential that someone can make the patterns and final garment with a quick turn around. This is something they said they can do, working to a tight timescale. Among that I got to see Lalage's Autumn/Winter 2019 designs. These were shown on spec sheets, which details of any visible stitching, trimmings and certain fastenings. Some of the designs were fantastic, including techniques I wouldn't have thought of myself. However for disclosure reasons I can not say anything about them.
I am now more than excited to attend the next one with the toils completed.
